Kinesiology for horses
As riders we are very aware of the energy around our horse and the energy they give off. Often with out realising it, we talk about the atmosphere or energy of a arena during a competition.
Or we say things like “he felt like he was about to explode”.
Without realising it, we are in tune with our horses energy field. Equally they are just in tune with ours, we have all seen a horse being naughty with a novice or nervous rider and then a professional gets on and the horse is transformed.

Therefore if stands to reason how important it is for both horse and rider to be in balance together. If your horse is stiff in the neck, it is very possible that you are too. Equally if you have a bad hip or a weaker side this can then be transferred to the horse as they are compensating for us.
As a horse owner, I have always been diligent about getting my horses treated. However I was often frustrated that we are more often than not playing a guessing game. Making diagnosis by a process of elimination.
As I was undergoing my own kinesiology treatments I thought this would be fascinating to learn to do for horses.
I have spent the past three years studying with Joan Morton who has developed the Morton Method, Kinesiology for horses.

Treatments
Kinesiology for horses is very similar to what I do for people. It is very gentle but very powerful. Using the art of muscle testing I can identify imbalances or stresses in the horses system. I can then balance these using acupressure points, light or sound. This enable the body to regain balance and promote healing. It can be used to treat aliments in the following areas.

-
CHEMICAL: (e.g. nutrition, hormones, metabolism, immune response)
-
STRUCTURAL: (e.g. bones, muscles, tissues)
-
EMOTIONAL: (e.g. stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, trauma)
-
ELECTROMAGNETIC: (e.g. hydration, energy levels, energy fields)
Performance Balance
A horse and rider balance can help put you and your horse in balance together. We are often very diligent about taking care of our horse's needs but neglect our self, if you are out of balance you will continue to put your equine partner out of balance too.
A performance balance will help to put you and your horse in sync, allowing you to compete to the best of your ability.

As with all holistic therapies, it is important that you do so in consultation with your vet.
